GamblingStaking or risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance or a future contingent event, with intent to receive something of value in the event of a certain outcome.
Horse Racing/Off-Track BettingHarness horse racing and off-track betting allowed.
Dog Racing/Off-Track BettingGreyhound racing, and interstate simulcasts of greyhound racing, prohibited.
Casinos Allowed?Gaming allowed only on Passamaquoddy tribal lands.
Other Kinds of Gambling-Related Activities Allowed or BannedBingo clubs for individuals 62 years of age or older; bona fide business contracts legal, raffles allowed. Bookmaking; mutuel schemes; promoting gambling; possession of gambling records and/or devices illegal. Any illegal gambling machine including money is subject to forfeit. State lottery allowed.
