What Constitutes AbuseInterfering with child's right to adequate food, shelter, clothing, education, medical care and freedom from physical, sexual, or emotional injury or exploitation or abandonment
Mandatory Reporting Required ByPhysician, nurse, teacher, school personnel, social worker, coroner, child-caring personnel, dentist, EMT, paramedic, health professional, mental health professional, peace officer, any organization or agency of the above
Basis of Report of Abuse/neglectKnows or has reasonable cause to believe that child is dependent, neglected, or abused
To Whom ReportedLocal law enforcement or Kentucky state police, commonwealth's attorney, cabinet or representative
Penalty for Failure to Report or False ReportingIntentional violation is Class B misdemeanor
