| What Constitutes Abuse | The infliction of physical or mental injury upon a child, including excessive corporal punishment, an act of sexual abuse, molestation, exploitation, or injury that results from exposure to drug-related activity |
| Mandatory Reporting Required By | Physician, psychologist, nurse, law enforcement officer, school teacher/official, social service worker, day care worker, mental health professional (any other person may make report), medical examiner, dentist, chiropractor |
| Basis of Report of Abuse/neglect | Knows or has reasonable cause to believe a child is in immediate danger of being mentally or physically abused or neglected |
| To Whom Reported | Child and Family Services Agency |
| Penalty for Failure to Report or False Reporting | Fined up to $100 and/or jailed up to 30 days |
